Also known as 'Garden Burnet' this herb gives a nutty, cucumber flavor to salads, tomatoes, cheese, and more. It is also known as an herbal remedy for gout, gas spasms, and wound dressings. Untreated seed. Plant seeds after the last frost, and thin to 12-14 inches apart. Does best in cooler weather, and is known to stay green after frost and into snowy weather (hardy zones 4-10). Will tend to fade in hottest weather, so partial shade may help in warm climates. Keep flower heads and old growth trimmed to encourage new growth.
