Brassica rapa var. japonica Mibuna Cabbage is a very rare, hard to come by, variety of cabbage. Also known as Mibu Greens or simply 'Mibu', this unique cut-and-come-again vegetable produces dense clusters of 12 inch long slender, rounded green leaves with a thin tender stem. It is a very cold hardy plant that you will be able to harvest from early spring well into late fall/early winter, or if you live in a warmer climate you will be able to eat from it all year. Unlike regular cabbage that forms a single head for just one single harvest, Mibuna cabbages allows you to harvest cabbage all season long! This early plant is ready to cut for baby leaves as early as 21 days and is fully mature in 40 days. Mibuna just keeps sending up new leaves as you cut. The more you cut the more it keeps producing! Use this vigorous, very easy to grow, salad green from Japan as you would spinach or cabbage greens. It is superb for baby leaf salad mixes, stir frying, soups, pickling and more. It has flavor very similar to tatsoi, pak choi or spinach, but with a hint of spiciness to it that really adds something extra to make your salads, sandwiches or stir fries more exciting! 6-18" height 18-24" spacing
