Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach was introduced around 1826 and this wonderful heirloom is still by far one of the most popular open pollinated spinach varieties on the market. It is a sweet, tender and delicious home garden variety with large crinkled savoyed leaves that grow erect keeping them free of soil and debris. Bloomsdale is a dark, glossy, thick textured green and withstands heat very well giving you heavy continuous yields of attractive tasty greens without bolting! It is super fast to sprout and quick to harvest for baby spinach leaves.
Spinach is also very nutritious with lots of Vitamin A, C, and iron and is low in calories.
